Bug Hotels

We made bug hotels. They are going to be places where bugs around our school might like to stay over the winter. We had to think about ways of creating nooks and cranies for bugs to hide in. First we had to collect the materials that we needed. We brought in pine cones, boxes, bamboo, sticks, leaves, old drawers, pallets, bricks and pieces of wood. We used an old draw, or a box or pallets as the frame for our hotels. We stacked all sorts of layers inside our frames. We put labels on them. Then we put them in different places around the school. We can't wait to see who moves in.
